Abstract

The growing discourse on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), often regarded as the backbone of a country’s macroeconomic stability, has encouraged both newly established and long-standing MSMEs to further strengthen their businesses. However, questions remain regarding whether the performance and motivation of MSME employees align with expectations. The purpose of this study is to examine the level of employee motivation and performance, as well as the influence of motivation on the performance of employees at CV. CemaraFood Blitar. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all 32 employees of CV. CemaraFood Blitar. Descriptive statistics were employed as the most effective approach, using scale range analysis and simple regression. The findings reveal that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the performance of packaging employees at CV. Cemara Food Talun Blitar, indicating that higher motivation leads to improved performance. Nevertheless, weaknesses were identified in aspects of self-development, such as training and skill enhancement, which may potentially cause stagnation if left unaddressed.
